Miranda Alteri, LMHC

she/her

As a therapist, Miranda believes in showing up as a human first. Her approach is rooted in relational and person-centered therapy, creating a space where clients feel understood, supported, and genuinely seen, not analyzed from a distance. She believes meaningful therapy happens through authentic connection, compassion, and honest conversations (with room for humor, too). She believes therapy is not only for moments of crisis, but also for the woman carrying an invisible mental load, the new mother trying to reconnect with herself, the ambitious professional on the edge of burnout, the person overwhelmed by navigating friendships in adulthood, or the person who wants to feel more stable, fulfilled, and present in their life.

Miranda specializes in working with young adult women navigating emotional weight that often comes with trying to hold everything together. She has a knack for working with high-achieving, self-aware women who look “fine” on the outside but internally feel overwhelmed, stuck in patterns of self-sabotage, emotionally exhausted, or disconnected from themselves. Her work is grounded in understanding the whole person rather than focusing solely on
diagnoses or labels.

Miranda recognizes that every individual has a unique story, different
needs, and experiences that deserve curiosity and care. She integrates a variety of therapeutic approaches — including CBT, Internal Family Systems (IFS), strengths-based narrative therapy, somatic therapy, and mindfulness-based techniques — tailoring treatment to each client rather than forcing clients into a one-size-fits-all approach.

Miranda is known for balancing empathy with accountability. She believes healing isn’t about “fixing” who you are, but learning to better understand yourself, take ownership of the things within your control, and create patterns that actually support the life you want to live. Therapy with Miranda is collaborative, grounded, and approachable — a space where clients can feel safe enough to be honest, challenged enough to grow, and supported every step of the way.
