Jess Pierson, Intern
Jess Pierson (she/her) is a current graduate student at John Fisher University’s Mental Health Counseling Master's program.
Jess approaches therapy as a collaborative and flexible process, tailoring her work to each client’s unique needs and goals. She integrates elements of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Person-Centered Therapy to foster emotional insight, build coping skills, and support meaningful change. Jess has experience working with adults facing challenges related to anxiety, depression, identity development, and relationships. She is especially interested in helping clients reconnect with their inner sense of self, establish boundaries that reflect their values, and cultivate self-trust. Grounded in curiosity and authenticity, Jess creates a space where clients can explore, reflect, and grow at their own pace.
Outside of session, Jess enjoys spending time with loved ones, reading, going to the movies, or watching a good TV show. Jess also loves spending time with her two cats, Teddy and Lucy.
